TONFA is a duo formed by Karuzelkaaa and kierat – representatives of a new generation of underground rap, consistently pushing beyond its boundaries.

Their music is rooted in hip-hop, but draws just as heavily from punk, grime, noise, and electronic music, placing the project firmly within the wider Polish independent scene.

Despite their underground origins, they quickly caught the attention of artists like Włodi and Brodka, as well as major festivals across Poland – from Open’er and Unsound to Męskie Granie and Up To Date. Live, they perform as an expanded lineup with DJ Zeten and drummer Wojtek Perczyński, delivering intense, high-energy shows built on the fusion of live drums and turntablism.

From their debut TONFA EP (2019), through the eclectic and conceptual KLĄTWA LP (2021), to the more experimental PLUTA EP, the duo have been steadily developing their own language – raw, dark, and charged with psychedelic tension. Their album TRZECIA SZYNA stands as the culmination of this evolution: a wide-ranging release where TONFA moves freely across different forms of rap – from classic structures to drill and dancehall – collaborating with both Polish and international artists.

TONFA is a uncompromising project – instead of adapting to the scene, they consistently build their own sound and aesthetic.
