info
Polish singer who was revealed for the Czech audience by Amanda Palmer and her guest Julia Marcell.

Gaba Kulka
is arguably the best new voice coming from Poland in the last few years. Included in her impressive resume of recent awards is the Fryderyk (Polish equivalent to Grammy). Her latest album ‘Hat, Rabbit’ has been gaining a lot of attention from polish and international journalists alike, acclaimed for it’s cabaret pop pseudo-swing feel, topped with Kulka’s powerful, yet smooth voice. Recently she has been collaborating with many polish musicians, mostly viola and pianos, and has been experimenting with nu-jazz and metal styles to incorporate into her own bag of tricks.

Julia Marcell (singer/songwriter/pianist/violist) will be accompanying Kulka to complete this power duo. Considering herself of classical punk music, Julia arranges her music based on piano and strings, but features raw vocals simple to understand, yet difficult to capture in totality. This plays but a mere feature to the intrigue that surrounds her art. Marcell began touring after moving to Berlin and putting together a band. She will be joining us at Palac for the first time ever in the Czech Republic!
