info Strulgattu is a duo from Sweden composed of former schoolmates Magnus and Matts. Against all odds, they have played music together since high school. In 2016, they replaced the guitars with synthesizers and have experimented with electronic sounds and rhythms since then. Stulgattu has released two albums on Messy Weekend Records together with cellist Henrik Meierkord. The debut „Fritt efter en väg,“ from 2017, was a musical interpretation of the theater piece „The Heavenly Play“ by local playwright Rune Lindström. The sequel „Ankomstkarta“ (2022) is about the four seasons and their changes. Together, the musical trio makes melancholic and cinematic soundscapes inspired by the rural lifestyle around Lake Siljan. On stage in Prague, the band will present an updated sound that mixes cello, acoustic guitar, and electronics. As always, Gabriel Wentz's video visuals are essential and integral to the live experience. The concerts will take place in collaboration with the „Discover Sweden“ exhibition, which will be held at Vnitroblock from November 14th to December 18th, 2024. Magnus Haglunds – synthetizers, Henrik Meierkord – cello, Matts Persson – synthetizers. This concert is supported by Liveurope. The first EU-wide initiative to support concert clubs in their efforts to host concerts by emerging European artists. Liveurope is co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union and Nordic Cultural fund |
