Experimental. Elusive. Eccentric. Three of the most distinctive names in
the Czech alternative music scene come together this May at Palác Akropolis: Fæ
Bestia, mezi patry klid, and LAOKOON.
LAOKOON
They played the very first edition of PULZ back in March 2022, launching
their album ŠPERK. Now, LAOKOON return to Palác Akropolis with their latest
release ZBYTKY DRESU – and as always, they already have more material in the
works. Rapper Mikuláš Hamerla and producer Jiří Machů hail from the
Moravian-Silesian region and spent years living together in Brno. Although they
now reside in different cities, their creative bond is stronger than ever. Last
year, they opened for Danny Brown and appeared at major events like Grape
Festival. You can’t turn it off.
mezi patry klid
Matouš Pospíšil and Šimon Pacek make music that creates its own logic. Their
project mezi patry klid began as a form of escape – but instead of comfort, it
offers a sonic labyrinth full of unexpected connections, blending hyperfolk,
trap, and Czech singer-songwriter influences. Their self-titled debut album,
released in 2024, experiments with diary-like lyrics and explores new ways to
connect electronic textures with guitar-driven roots. The album earned them a
nomination for the Vinyla Award in the Discovery of the Year category.
Fæ Bestia
Singer and producer Josefína Tratinová, known as Fæ Bestia, crafts music
that’s as hypnotic as it is unpredictable. From baroque-inspired
soundscapes to bass-heavy club chaos, her work constantly reimagines itself and
pushes sonic boundaries. Releases like ALEGORIE and HEART TRANSPLANT introduced
her as an artist who never repeats herself – always evolving, always surprising.
Get your hearts ready.
The PULZ concert series at Palác Akropolis is curated by music journalist
and moderator Vojtěch Tkáč. The evening is presented in collaboration with
