PETR KALANDRA (*March 10, 1950 – †September 7, 1995) was one of the most
distinctive, charismatic, and influential figures of the Czech music scene in
the second half of the 20th century. This year, Kalandra would have celebrated
his 75th birthday. At the same time, September marks thirty years since his
passing. To commemorate these significant anniversaries, we will remember
Kalandra and his most authentic covers of world songwriters such as Bob Dylan,
Neil Young, or James Taylor at a joint concert of bands he helped found – Blues
Session and Jan Spálený & ASPM. Special guests will include some former
members of the legendary band Marsyas.
