Two of the most distinctive young musicians from Slovakia are heading to
Palác Akropolis. On May 1st, Vojtik and Adam The World will make their Prague
live debut – a celebration of (self-)love in full bloom.
Vojtik
Growing up in a small town in central Slovakia, Vojtik’s music carries
the weight of life on the periphery – not just geographically, but socially. In
2023, his track Detviansky sen resonated with a broader audience thanks to its
raw, personal take on identity and otherness in a world that often resists
difference. His lyrics blend autobiographical detail with wider social
reflection – from ingrained prejudice to blind obedience. His debut album Kvety
z Podpoľania („Flowers from Podpoľanie“) earned him the “Debut
of the Year” award at the 2023 Radio_Head Awards. By the end of the year,
he followed up with MESSIASH IX, released on vinyl via Slnko Records.
Adam The World
A musician from the town of Kremnica. His sound moves between nostalgia
and emotional introspection, blending rap, alternative R&B, and touches of
pop-punk. His lyrics dive deep into love, memory, and the realities of Slovak
society. In February 2025, he released the album afinita, produced in
collaboration with MOSAYQRA. His May Day performance in Prague will feature new
material – music that plays like an open letter to anyone who feels the world a
little too deeply.
The PULZ concert series at Palác Akropolis is curated by music journalist
and moderator Vojtěch Tkáč. The evening is presented in collaboration with the
Akropolis Underground space.
