Stephan Micus

Born in Germany in 1953, Stephan Micus is a pioneering musician who has explored global musical traditions for decades. He has traveled to numerous countries, studying with local masters to learn traditional instruments, many of which are unfamiliar in the Western world. Micus does not play these instruments in the conventional way but instead creates new combinations and musical possibilities. His compositions often blend instruments from different cultures and include his own voice, which he uses to create transcultural, meditative soundscapes.

Line Gate

A project by Prague-based musician Michal Vaľko. His sound is characterized by repetitiveness, apparent immutability, and the use of minimalistic expressive means. The compositions, formed through long drones, evoke a psychedelic effect of sealed time. These pieces connect to the tradition of minimalism (La Monte Young, Éliane Radigue, Steve Reich), yet can also be heard as solitary sonic diaries.
