info Fahrzavö is a quartet consisting of three wind instruments and a cimbalom! Improvisation on the borderlines of folk, jazz, and classical music – a collaboration of a flutist, a cimbalom player, and two wind players, inspired by songs of indigenous peoples from Easter Island, Chinese Baroque from the Forbidden City, the evocation of the courtship dance of extinct Moa birds, the hum of insects, and the melancholy of the day's end. The quartet has been active since 2020. In 2023, their self-titled album was released by the Slovak label Hevhetia. The group completed a Czech mini-tour with Norwegian organist Sigbjørn Apeland and collaborated with other musicians as part of the international Prague Music Performance Ensemble. Members: |
