Freak folk pioneer CocoRosie returns to Prague with new album
„Little Death Wishes“ (2025)
Bianca and Sierra Casady have been in the musical avant-garde of experimental
pop music for over twenty years, influencing countless musicians while inspiring
and creating a haven for „criminal queers“ around the world. After
an exceptional Prague concert to celebrate 20 years of existence (2024),
CocoRosie returns to Palác Akropolis with their eighth full-length album
„Little Death Wishes“. Attention, limited capacity!
The work of the American sister duo Sierra and Bianca Casady aka CocoRosie
combines elements of pop, blues, electronica, hip hop and opera in a unique way.
The duo is best known for their original poetics and use of lo-fi
children’s toys, classic instrumentation and genre-spanning rhythms. Sierra
Casady is a classically trained opera singer and theater actress and Bianca
Casady is a poet, theater director and visual artist. Together, the sisters use
music, theatrical movement practices, fashion and contemporary art to create
work that reflects the beauty and sadness of our collective experience. Through
their art, they advocate for human rights, challenge societal norms, and often
play with various taboos. In the past, they have collaborated with names such as
Anohni, Kronos Quartet and avant-garde theatre director Robert Wilson.
