Thursday 26. 11.
info The first night kicks things off hard. Divo Institute return to Akropolis with new material, still sounding as if a bar fight, a poetry night and the last night of humanity had decided to start a band together. Their music brings together hypnotic blues, danceable western rock, punk-infused techno and dirty guitars. Towering above it all is a poet in the skin of a charismatic shaman, preaching about rotten love, lost hopes and the kind of freedom nobody gives you for free. Divo Institute concerts are rituals for people who figured out long ago that the world makes no sense but still want to dance to it. After returning last year and making their way through several kindred refuges, they are now opening another chapter in their beautifully broken story. Trnava’s The Wilderness will bring razor-sharp guitars, lyrics about life in the bowels of late capitalism and a live energy that knows no safe distance. For years, the band has had its claws firmly embedded in the Czech-Slovak independent scene. Singer Denis Bango (Fvck_Kvlt) is afraid of no subject, and together the band creates a wave of noise there is no point trying to escape. Better to let it sweep you away. woodoo: Two Nights UndergroundTwo nights, one basement, a few scars and some blurry memories. For two days, the woodoo series will bring underground projects into Akropolis. Some of the artists are returning to the venue, while others will step onto its stage for the first time. Previous encounters featuring part of this line-up have turned packed shows into legendary parties. Both nights are separate events and tickets are sold individually. For the hundred people who want to go through this little purgatory from beginning to end, there will also be 100 unique two-day tickets available. Find the second night here: |
