A Pair of Progressive Rock Formations, The Flower Kings and Neal Morse & The Resonance, Embark on a Joint European Tour to Present Their New Albums.

The Flower Kings is a Swedish progressive rock ensemble that originated in 1994 as a backing band for frontman Roine Stolt's third solo album tour, aptly titled The Flower King. After the tour ended, the band stayed together and gradually became one of the icons of the Swedish prog-rock scene. With a history spanning 17 studio albums and a career of more than 30 years, they have played a pivotal role in the revival of classic progressive rock in a modern form.

On this tour, The Flower Kings will present their new album Love, which is set for release on May 2nd. The album features three original band members alongside two new additions. Together, they have created material that embodies the essence of progressive rock from the 1960s and 1970s.

American musician Neal Morse, with his project The Resonance, represents the new wave of Christian progressive rock. As part of the tour, he will introduce his new album No Hill For a Climber, which has been in the works since 2023. „I was thinking about what to do in 2024, and my wife suggested that I try collaborating with some incredibly talented young local musicians, such as Chris Riley, Andre Madatian, and Philip Martin,“ explains Neal Morse about the album's creation. He soon realized that the main advantage of this lineup was its immediacy and innovative spirit.

The album No Hill For a Climber features two long musical epics—the 28-minute title track and the slightly shorter Eternity In Your Eyes, which runs for 22 minutes—along with three shorter compositions. Morse himself admits that he has a particular fondness for the shorter pieces.

Let yourself be enchanted by the unique blend of intricate harmonies, dynamic shifts, and deep basslines on Friday, June 13th, at Prague’s Palác Akropolis!
