One of America's greatest modern blues, jazz and gospel singers with a voice like barrel-aged bourbon.

Born in Georgia, USA, she grew up in the family of a pastor who introduced her to gospel music. She burst onto the jazz scene with an esprit all her own at the beginning of the millennium, recording her still admired debut Salt (2003). As her output of original work grew, Lizz Wright's artistic veracity gradually became more and more apparent, deepening her inimitable ability to mix original colour from a musical palette that has room for gospel, folk, jazz, pop and blues. She returns to Prague with her latest album to date, Shadow (2024).
