The same depth. Greater freedom. Janus Rasmussen, one half of Kiasmos, will present a new live set built around his album Inert at Spectaculare_14. This time, he takes his signature delicacy and attention to detail in a distinctly more club-oriented direction – embracing 2-step, breakbeat, IDM, heavier rhythms and his own vocals. The result is a freer, more physical sound that opens itself up to club energy without losing Rasmussen’s ability to create immersive atmospheres. For Kiasmos fans, this is a rare opportunity to experience his musical world from an entirely different perspective.

Inert was born out of a desire to break free from creative autopilot. Rasmussen stopped worrying about which category his music belonged to and began relying more on instinct, contrast and experimentation. Delicacy and control remain, but they are now balanced by more pronounced rhythms, greater dynamics and a voice that becomes another layer of the electronic structure. The album moves between introspection and club-driven intensity, revealing a Rasmussen who is firmly in command of his new sound – precise yet emotional, experimental yet immediately accessible (Igloo Magazine).

Spectaculare_14 will also present both members of Kiasmos exploring their own individual artistic worlds within a single festival edition. Ólafur Arnalds will bring his project Falling Apart Together to Divadlo Hybernia, while Rasmussen will perform Inert at Bike Jesus. Two halves of Kiasmos, two distinct directions – and a chance to hear what happens when each follows their own path.

Both concerts are part of the 14th edition of the multidisciplinary Spectaculare festival, taking place at various venues across Prague in March and April 2027. Tickets are already available at spectaculare.cz.
