Festival Spectaculare presents the premiere of an audiovisual experience beneath the gigantic LED dome of the new Planetarium Prague – a unique fusion of original music by composer Rafael Anton Irisarri and immersive visuals by Czech artists Dalibor Cée and Alex J. Jindrák. The project makes use of Europe’s most technologically advanced fully digital LED dome, featuring more than 45 million diodes, where space, time and perception merge into a single immersive moment unlike anything previously seen or heard in the Czech Republic.

Festival Spectaculare introduces a one-of-a-kind audiovisual projection at the new Planetarium Prague, marking the first event of its kind in the country. The premiere of an original composition by Italian-American composer Rafael Anton Irisarri – whose work moves between post-minimalism, drone, ambient and electroacoustic music, creating a space without rhythm, movement or narrative – is accompanied by visuals created by Czech visual artists Dalibor Cée and Alex J. Jindrák. “Irisarri’s music does not propel the listener forward; it leaves them suspended in an expanded moment where time slows down and becomes almost immaterial, while the visual projection develops this state into a dreamlike, infinite space,” explains dramaturg Josef Sedloň.

The visual layer beneath the dome fully exploits the planetarium’s next-generation LED system – a dome more than 22 metres in diameter covered with millions of display diodes, allowing for levels of detail and contrast unimaginable with conventional projection technologies. At the end of March, this space will become a site for deep perception and contemplation, where the audience navigates not through narrative, but through direct sensory experience. The music of Irisarri and the visual world designed specifically for this projection by Dalibor Cée and Alex J. Jindrák open questions about space, infinity and human scale – an experience that transcends traditional concerts or film screenings and confirms Spectaculare as a festival pushing the boundaries of audiovisual art.

Alex J. Jindrák is a multidisciplinary artist working at the intersection of fine art, technology and visual communication. He works with CGI, light, image and sound, creating installations, projections and audiovisual environments that combine visual precision with clear structural thinking. His practice is rooted in a distinctive personal signature, meticulous attention to detail and the ability to think within broader conceptual frameworks. AI-based creation plays a significant role in his current work, which he develops as a new tool for visual thinking and artistic expression. His studio, Modified.Studio, operates as an extended platform for the realization of complex projects – from initial concept to final output. The studio functions as both a creative and development space where art, technology and systematic content work intersect.

Dalibor Cee is a visual creator and CGI artist focused on digital imagery, technology and audiovisual production. He has long been dedicated to 3D graphics, visual effects and the creation of complex visual environments, where he combines technical precision with a sensitive perception of light, structure and space. His work is grounded in a strong technical foundation while maintaining a refined sense of atmosphere, composition and detail. His creative approach stems from an interest in art, natural principles and organic patterns, which influence the way he thinks about material, movement and light. For him, the digital environment is not merely a tool, but a space in which he seeks balance between realism and stylization. An essential part of his work is the ability to translate abstract ideas into concrete visual form and to shape imagery that is both technically precise and visually coherent.
