The photographer Jitka Kopejtková in Palace Akropolis. Her exhibition Strhané plakáty (Ripped posters) represents an utterly unique subject: the way the street transforms the means of propagation (and propaganda) and distorts them into specific artworks. Sometimes a very long searching precedes each photos of ripped poster, because the authenticity is very important – none of the posters can be damaged by the author herself. Sometimes it is about searching one particular poster and sometimes it is just about a random inspiration. Jitka Kopejtková definitely captures the most natural display of street art in her pictures – the damaging and demolishing of products supporting sale of various goods. And it does not matter if it is an outcome of a well-considered act (ripping of a provoking poster), pure rage or simply boredom. They are all very alive in Jitka Kopejtkova´s pictures.
