info СОЮЗ (SOYUZ) is a creative collective originally from Minsk, founded by multi-instrumentalists Alex Chumak and Mikita Arlou. Since relocating to Warsaw in 2022, they have been joined by Polish musicians Albert Karch (drums) and Igor Wiśniewski (guitar). The name “SOYUZ” (“union”) reflects both collaboration and the band’s dual identity. The project exists in two forms. In the studio, Chumak leads as composer and arranger, crafting detailed recordings blending jazz, folk and global pop with rich orchestration. Live, however, SOYUZ becomes a collective body – reshaping the material through improvisation and the individual voices of each member. Following early albums Это всё совсем не то (2018) and II (2019), the band gained wider recognition with Force of the Wind, influenced by Brazilian music and praised by outlets like BBC Radio and KEXP. They have since performed at festivals including Primavera Sound, XJAZZ and OFF Festival. Their 2025 album KROK, recorded between São Paulo, Stockholm and Warsaw, blends Eastern European roots with jazz, folk and global influences, resulting in a subtle, genre-defying sound shaped by detail, atmosphere and emotional depth. 505, a Berlin-based duo formed by guitarist and producer Daniel Calvi and electronic artist Mattia Prete, crafts a distinctive sonic landscape where electronica, jazz, and abstract trip-hop echoes converge. Their music pulses with deep, jungle-like rhythms, unfolds into dreamlike atmospheres, and seamlessly blends dark undertones with euphoric melodic explorations. After performing at renowned festivals such as the Montreux Jazz Festival, 505 is now set to release their debut album—an immersive journey reflecting their passion for sonic experimentation and cross-genre storytelling. The project is driven by a desire to explore new horizons through ongoing collaborations with European musicians from diverse backgrounds, continuously enriching their sound with fresh creative perspectives. The duo is currently presenting material from their new album together with trumpet player Fabio Radermacher, a close collaborator of the group. This concert is supported by Liveurope – the first pan-European initiative to support concert clubs in their efforts to host concerts by emerging European artists. Liveurope is co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union. |
