Tomas Bata University – Faculty of multimedia communications has a detached department in Uherské Hradiště. The students of the third year applying for the bachelor degree had a great opportunity to visit a public rehearsal in the theatre Slovácké divadlo, thanks to forthcoming attitude of its director Igor Stránský. Most of the students have not visited a theatre for a very long time. The visit was connected with a task to create a poster about the performance. The visit might have been only a duty at the first time, but it changed to an immediate success. The students came to the second rehearsal more than enthusiastic and even after finishing their homework they showed the interest to visit the theatre again. It was interesting to see how the generation of the digital age raised by swift cuts of television movies accept the game between the actors and the audience – to believe in the story performed by the actor. It is visible on each of the poster how the authors understood the performance; the posters show their emotions and reactions to the play. I hope for the cooperation between the school and the theatre to continue and that it will be advantageous for both sides – the students making acquaintances with the theatre and the theatre gaining new visitors.
