Liveurope Festival is a showcase of young European musical talents. Over the course of two days, 18 artists and projects from nine European countries will perform, including four musicians nominated for the prestigious Music Moves Europe Awards. At Palác Akropolis, you will have the young European music scene at your fingertips with discoveries from Portugal, Estonia, France, Sweden, Serbia, Czech Republic, Lithuania, and several other countries.

The Thursday program will feature the Polish duo Rat Kru, which cleverly balances on the border of kitsch and art and proudly admits that their sole goal is to get the audience dancing. Beatmaker Rat One hides behind a rat mask, while Winogrady Lew serves surreal lyrics about life in their hometown of Poznan. It's like a cross between Polish Sleaford Mods and Ventolin.

The Czech duo P/\ST makes rap music, but in a completely different way than the rest of the domestic scene. They don't care about posing and rap clichés, instead showering listeners with abstract beats and lyrics that are truly about something. They have released three albums, with their latest, Tinnitus, coming out this spring. Amelie Siba is one of the greatest Czech musical talents of the past decade. Her first albums are full of fragile confessions and carry the spirit of intimate bedroom recordings. Her debut album Dye My Hair won the Apollo award for Best Czech Album of the Year in 2021. Her latest work, Gently Double A, is an explosive and self-confident fusion of DIY songwriting, trip hop, and psychedelia.

Ana Lua Caiano combines Portuguese folk music full of emotions with cool electronics. She released her debut EP in September last year and has already performed at numerous festivals, including Womex. On stage, she presents a true one-woman-show, using a sampler, synthesizer, and percussion to invite listeners into her unique sonic world.

Václav Chalupský, also known as Chalupski, is a pianist who draws from minimalism and post-classical music. He debuted with the album Vortex in 2019, played in the extended lineup of the band Kalle, and composed music for theater and dance performances. Last year, he released the album Improvisations for Dance, where piano is accompanied by strings, electric guitars, and synthesizers. Nineteen-year-old singer-songwriter Nina Kohout, based in London, is a major discovery from our eastern neighbors, as evidenced by her Radio_Head award in 2020. She blends Slovak folklore with elements of classical music and trip hop beats, and after the well-received EP Pandemonium, it is clear that Kohout has a bright future ahead of her.

Slovenian rapper, singer, and dancer Sahareya creates original alternative rap with influences of R&B, electronic, and pop music. Her music also reflects her Syrian family roots, as her brother, who goes by the name DJ SunnySun, makes music with her. In addition to her music career, Sahareya also organizes concerts in Ljubljana, runs a record store, and has founded a school for DJs. It's hard to imagine a more multifaceted artist.

Strulgattu and Meierkord is a trio of friends, consisting of two synthesizer enthusiasts and a cellist, who capture the natural wonders of the North with their unusual combination of instruments, creating instrumental pieces filled with Scandinavian melancholy. We have already invited them to the afterparty at Palác Akropolis following Floex's performance, and they convinced us that our main stage will suit them well. Serbian band Koikoi has gained significant audience support and professional recognition at this year's Music Moves Europe. With their concerts, they confirm their reputation as an excellent live band. Koikoi is formed by a group of creatives from the vibrant Belgrade music scene, united by their love for indie rock/alternative pop. Their critically acclaimed debut album „Pozivi u stranu“ (2021) entices with unorthodox pop sound with nods to The XX (male-female harmonies), Serbian alt-rock, Chromatics-style electro-rock, and indie dream pop. Koikoi is a gem for all those who know that sophisticated indie pop is the new punk.

The admission fee is optional and ranges from 111 to 666 CZK.
