Stephan Micus

Born in Germany in 1953, Stephan Micus is a pioneering musician who has explored global musical traditions for decades. He has traveled to numerous countries, studying with local masters to learn traditional instruments, many of which are unfamiliar in the Western world. Micus does not play these instruments in the conventional way but instead creates new combinations and musical possibilities. His compositions often blend instruments from different cultures and include his own voice, which he uses to create transcultural, meditative soundscapes.

Irena and Vojtěch Havlovi

Czech musical duo known for their innovative fusion of classical and world music. Irena, a graduate of Charles University, and Vojtěch, a cellist and pianist from the Prague Conservatory, began collaborating in the mid-1980s with the experimental group Capella Antiqua e Moderna. Their music draws on a range of cultural influences, including Indian spiritual traditions. Over the years, they have produced numerous albums and soundtracks, using instruments like cello, piano, viola da gamba, and Tibetan bowls to convey a meditative and poetic musical expression. At the upcoming concert they will also play songs from their new album Four Hands.
