Alternative rap, electronica and jazz influences. Rappers Jay Austin
and Vivere will make Palác Akropolis pulse this November.
Vivere
Prague-based rapper and producer Vivere, originally from
South Bohemia, connects rap with contemporary electronica, UK garage, house and
alternative pop. His music moves between club energy and more personal themes,
openly addressing topics such as mental health and social taboos. His set on the
Small Stage of Palác Akropolis will also feature tracks from this year’s EP
METROPOLE. Are you ready for the smell of concrete roads?
Jay Austin
Prague-based rapper, producer and trombonist Jay Austin
combines melodic rap with jazz, live instrumentation and improvisation. He made
his debut in 2024 with the album INSOMNIA and has since
collaborated with artists including Anki, Klára Wodehn, Marie April and Beata
Myslíková. Alongside rap, he studies classical trombone at HAMU, an influence
that also finds its way into his live performances and work with live musicians.
At Palác Akropolis, he will present his brand-new album už 5 let jsem
z tebe v p***.
The PULZ series at Palác Akropolis is curated by
Refresher Editor-in-Chief Vojtěch Tkáč. The event takes place
in cooperation with Akropolis Underground.
